The IF4 360-Degree Chimney Inspection Camera Kit for the GoPro MAX is a professional-grade housing designed to handle the rigors of chimney, hearth, HVAC, and confined-space inspections. Built by inspectors for demanding conditions, it safeguards your camera while enabling the capture of immersive 360-degree footage that exposes every angle of the system.
The IF4 integrates seamlessly with industry-standard buttonlock rod systems (AW Perkins/RodTech USA, Snaplok, RodStation), ensuring smooth compatibility with existing tools. A built-in set-screw port allows for a CAT6 cable connection to extend Wi-Fi range—especially critical in masonry systems where signal performance is limited. Whether streaming inspections live or reviewing footage afterward, the IF4 supports consistent, defensible, and liability-aware documentation.

DIMENSIONS: The new IF4 kit with the guard for the side light is the same width as the old IF3 with the light installed while shrinking in a little in height and depth. The side guard adds a tapered protector above and below the side light to help assure that light won’t break if you snag something in a tall flue. That said you still shouldn’t yank on the camera or housing if you feel it hanging up on something. Simply turn the rods and gently pull down until it releases.

- This does NOT include a GoPro subscription (if desired). A GoPro subscription gives you unlimited online storage at GoPro.com to house and store your images and videos if you turn on the auto-upload feature on the camera.
- The housing fits the larger buttonlock rods produced by the standard rod manufacturers in the industry (AW Perkins/RodTech USA, Snaplok, RodStation).
- Integrated set screw for using a CAT6 cable to extend WIFI range when needed (highly recommended for masonry chimneys however you can also send the GoPro up the chimney slowly while filming and review it after the fact)

- To preview your inspection live you will be required to download the Quik app produced by GoPro from the app store.
- Instructions for full assembly and prep for use are included. The kit comes pre-assembled to the extent possible and prudent so that you have the least amount of work to put everything together. If you order the camera with the kit we will install it into the housing for you.
- Be aware that the GoPro MAX uses WIFI to connect to your device and allow for live preview. You can film and take 360 videos and photos independent of live preview and review them after the fact. Be aware that we cannot control or guarantee WIFI connectivity in your area and connection strength will vary based on the construction materials used in and around the chimney.
