Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes Inspection Fire LLC’s policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information. Inspection Fire LLC receives your information through our various web sites, APIs, services and third-parties (“Services”). When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Irrespective of which country that you reside in or create information from, your information may be used by Inspection Fire LLC in the United States or any other country where Inspection Fire LLC operates.

Information Collection and Use

Information Collected Upon Registration

When you create or reconfigure an Inspection Fire LLC account, you provide some personal information, such as your name, email address, unique device identifier, and certifications held. 

Information Collected Upon Form Submission

When you submit a form within our system you will be providing user or customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, listing information potentially including serial numbers and date of manufacture (of appliances services including fireplaces, stoves, inserts, water heaters, boilers, furnaces, dryers, etc…), and the users uploaded photographs. 

Credit Card information provided for Paid Accounts

When supplying us with your credit card information, this transmission will be protected by an SSL Certificate and stored within Quickbooks Online servers. We will not store your payment information otherwise. We will never disclose your payment information to a 3rd party.

Location Information

Some forms may require a momentary ping of your precise location which describes the location of a user or device in that moment as a latitude and longitude with three decimal places. Screens that require a precise location generally include signature pages however other prompts in the form may ping a location to geostamp an entry if permitted in the settings on your device.

Usage & Diagnostics Data

Other statistical data regarding usage will be collected from finalized submissions and may include, but is not limited to, the number of photos included, deficiencies noted, deficiency notes adjusted, the number of listed appliances, water heaters, furnaces, boilers, and dryers, etc… Diagnostics data collected may include crash logs, or any other data collected for the purpose of measuring technical diagnostics related to the services provided.

Additional Information

You will provide us with additional information to help us better understand or service your needs. This may include, but is not limited to, any form fields (deficiencies noted, minimum standards not met, user descriptions of systems inspected, recommendations, ballpark pricing, invoice line items, measurements, etc…) or information provided in the contact, suggestion, and question form.

Log Data

Our servers automatically record information (“Log Data”) created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, the referring domain, pages visited, and search terms. Other actions, such as interactions with advertisements, may also be included in Log Data.

Link Interaction

Inspection Fire LLC may keep track of how you interact with links across our Services including the use of third party connectors by redirecting clicks or through other means. We do this to help improve our Services, and to be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked on.

Cookies

Like many websites, we use “cookie” technology to collect additional website usage data and to improve our Services, but we do not require cookies for many parts of our Services such as searching and looking at public user profiles or lists. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer’s hard disk. Inspection Fire LLC may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our Services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our Services, and to improve our Services. The preceding Information collected upon registration (including credit card information), submission of a form, location information, usage and diagnostics data, log data, link interaction, cookies, or additional information is collectively referred to as “Collected Information” in this policy. All Collected Information may be used to improve and understand our services, our users, and the clients they serve.

Any contact information submitted for a users customers (including the name, email address, phone number, and physical address of those customers) will not be sold or used for direct marketing or advertising. This information will be used for statistical analyses, trend analysis, or other internal metrics and any resulting data potentially share with third party vendors or partners at the sole discretion of Inspection Fire LLC.

Third Party Services

Inspection Fire LLC may use a variety of services hosted by third parties now and in the future to help provide our Services, such as hosting future blogs and wikis, and to help us understand the use of our Services, such as Google Analytics. These services may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP request.

Legal Basis for Processing

We have the legal right to use the Collected Information in the ways described in this Privacy Policy based on your consent, or on the need to use the Collected Information to provide you with goods or services that you request, or for the legitimate purposes of furthering our existing relationship with you or preventing fraud. We also have the legal right to use the information provided to make statistical analyses across users and services to improve our goods and services and better serve our customers. Accordingly, you have a contractual rather than a statutory obligation to provide such information. If you do not provide such information, you may be unable to use our Services and we may be unable to provide any goods or services that you request.
