The IX3 connects seamlessly with industry-standard buttonlock rod systems (AW Perkins/RodTech USA, Snaplok, RodStation), allowing smooth integration into professional workflows. Its built-in set-screw port makes it possible to connect a CAT6 cable to extend Wi-Fi range—especially valuable in masonry structures where wireless signals are often obstructed. Whether monitoring live or reviewing recordings afterward, the IX3 supports consistent, defensible, and liability-aware documentation.

- The housing fits the larger buttonlock rods produced by the standard rod manufacturers in the industry (AW Perkins/RodTech USA, Snaplok, RodStation).
- Integrated set screw for using a CAT6 cable to extend WIFI range when needed (highly recommended for masonry chimneys however you can also send the GoPro up the chimney slowly while filming and review it after the fact)
- The kit comes pre-assembled to the extent possible and prudent so that you have the least amount of work to put everything together. If you order the camera with the kit we will install it into the housing for you.
- Be aware that the camera uses WIFI to connect to your device and allow for live preview. You can film and take 360 videos and photos independent of live preview and review them after the fact. Be aware that we cannot control or guarantee WIFI connectivity in your area and connection strength will vary based on the construction materials used in and around the chimney.
